During the film Recombination, the dome screen at DOT transforms into a gigantic kaleidoscope of light and form. Visual artist Julius Horsthuis spent a year and a half crafting this remarkable project, taking you on a journey through eight enchanting worlds. Each world is accompanied by unique, specially composed music by some of his favourite producers.

The breathtaking landscapes and dreamlike architectural structures on display are fractals – intricate patterns generated through mathematical formulas. By visualising these abstract equations, Horsthuis reveals a universe of hypnotic beauty, from psychedelic cathedrals to mind-expanding natural vistas.

Recombination is an immersive audiovisual experience that stimulates all your senses. The original soundtrack features music by Michael Stearns, David Levy, Max Cooper, Desert Dwellers, Ben Lukas Boysen, Temple Invisible, and Ott.
