About DOT Groningen

DOT Groningen is a multifunctional hospitality venue located at Vrydemalaan 2 in the Ebbinge Kwartier, Groningen. The building originally opened in 2014 as Infoversum, at that time the largest planetarium in Europe. After a complete renovation, it reopened in 2025 as DOT Groningen — a unique combination of restaurant, cocktail bar, terrace, city beach, and the iconic 234-seat fulldome theater.

The Venue

DOT Groningen offers multiple experiences under one roof:

  • Restaurant — International street food with sharing plates, mains EUR 16–19
  • Cocktail Bar — Handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, and wines
  • Terrace — Outdoor dining and drinks with waterfront views
  • City Beach — Urban beach club recognized by Lonely Planet, open May–October
  • The Dome — 234-seat fulldome theater (20m diameter) for concerts, planetarium shows, and immersive experiences

  • Friday: 12:00 – 01:00
  • Saturday: 12:00 – 01:00
  • Sunday: 12:00 – 22:00
  • Monday & Tuesday: Closed (available for private events)

Business Events
